End User Licence Agreement
Last updated 25 October 2026
This End User Licence Agreement ("EULA") is between you and Wavecentric Ltd (company number 16276203, 23a Kenilworth Gardens, Hayes, Greater London, UB4 0AY, United Kingdom). It covers the isipsafe data and software you obtain from us: blocklists and other data from the website or API (the "Data"), and any configuration files, scripts and code samples we publish, such as the fail2ban action and the commands on the Integrations page (the "Software"). It sits alongside our Terms of Service. If they conflict on a licensing question, this EULA wins.
1. Licence to use the Data
We grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable, royalty-free licence to use the Data for one purpose only: protecting networks, systems, services and applications that you own or operate, or that you operate for your employer or your clients as part of running or securing them. Within that purpose you may:
- download the Data and load it into firewalls, routers, web and mail servers, WAFs, intrusion prevention systems, SIEMs and threat intelligence platforms;
- look up addresses from your own applications, for example at sign-up or login;
- keep copies for as long as you need them for that purpose.
2. What is prohibited without written authorisation
Any use outside section 1 needs a separate written agreement with us. In particular, you must not, directly or indirectly:
- sell, resell, license, sublicense, rent, lease or otherwise commercially exploit the Data, in whole or in part;
- include the Data, or anything derived from it (scores, lists, feeds, enrichments, aggregates or statistics), in any product, feed, API, database or service offered to third parties, whether paid or free, standalone or bundled;
- republish, mirror or redistribute the Data, or give third parties access to it through your systems;
- use the Data to build, seed, train or improve a competing IP reputation, threat intelligence or blocklist product, including machine learning and AI models;
- let anyone else do any of these things on your behalf.
"Indirectly" includes routing the Data through an intermediary, transforming it or combining it with other data, and charging for a product or service whose value comes in part from the Data. Managed service providers may use the Data to protect the systems they manage for clients, but may not sell or provide access to the Data itself.
To ask for a commercial licence, a data feed or redistribution rights, contact the team. Only a written agreement with us grants these rights.
3. Attribution
If you show isipsafe data to other people, for example in a dashboard or report, please credit "isipsafe" with a link to https://isipsafe.com. Location and network information comes from DB-IP and is licensed under CC BY 4.0; if you republish it, you must credit DB-IP.
4. Licence to use the Software
The configuration snippets, scripts and code samples we publish are licensed under the MIT licence: you may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense and sell copies, as long as you keep the copyright notice where there is one. They are provided without warranty.
5. Restrictions
You must not use the Data or Software to break the law, to harass or discriminate against people, or in any way that breaks our Acceptable Use Policy. You must not remove notices of ownership or licensing from files we supply.
6. Ownership
We, and where relevant our licensors and contributors, own the Data as a database and the Software. This EULA gives you a licence, not ownership. Individual reports remain subject to the licence reporters grant us under the Terms of Service.
7. No warranty
The Data is compiled from third-party reports and automated scoring. It will contain mistakes, may be out of date, and may include addresses used by innocent people. The Data and Software are provided "as is", without any warranty, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to act on it.
8. Liability
Our liability is limited as set out in section 9 of the Terms of Service. In particular, we are not liable for losses caused by blocking, or failing to block, any address.
9. Termination
This licence ends automatically if you break it, including any breach of section 2, and we may end it by revoking your API key. When it ends, stop using the Data and delete copies you obtained under it within 30 days, except where the law requires you to keep them.
10. Law
This EULA is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
