IP blacklist for managed service providers
Managed service providers can use isipsafe on a free account to protect the systems they manage for clients. They may not sell the data or give others access to it, and that use needs an Enterprise licence.
What the terms allow
| Use | Free account |
|---|---|
| Load the list into firewalls you manage for a client | Yes |
| Use scores in your own SOC or SIEM to protect client systems | Yes |
| Sell or provide access to the data itself | No, needs Enterprise |
| Build the data into your own product | No, needs Enterprise |
The terms are the full statement of this. If you are unsure, ask us first.
Limits to plan around
A free account allows 10,000 lookups and 10 blacklist downloads per 24 hours. Fetch the list centrally and distribute it to the firewalls you manage, rather than having each device download it. Refreshing every three hours keeps you within the limit.
Where it can plug in
- Firewalls: FortiGate, Palo Alto, pfSense and MikroTik.
- SIEM: Wazuh, Sentinel and Splunk.
- Alerts: watch up to 10 networks for new reports, with a daily email.
Free accounts have no SLA. If you need one, or no limits, see Enterprise.
