Browser search shortcut

Look up any address from the address bar, or the selected text with a bookmarklet.

Look up an address without opening the site first: type a keyword and the address in your browser's address bar, or select an address on any page and click a bookmark.

Address bar shortcut

  • Chrome and Edge: open Settings › Search engine › Manage search engines and site search. Next to Site search, click Add. Name: isipsafe, shortcut: ip, URL: 
    https://isipsafe.com/check?q=%s
  • Firefox: create a bookmark with that URL and set its Keyword to ip.
  • Safari: no custom keywords; use the bookmarklet below.

Now type ip 203.0.113.7 in the address bar. It also takes networks (ip 203.0.113.0/24) and hostnames.

Create a bookmark with this as its URL. Select an address on any page (a log viewer, an email header, a ticket) and click it:
