Overview

The isIPsafe 1-Click Droplet image comes pre-configured with:

  • UFW & ipset: Drops listed malicious IPs in the Linux kernel before they reach any service.
  • Fail2ban: Automatically reports SSH brute-force attackers back to isIPsafe.
  • Automated Hourly Sync: Pulls the latest high-confidence abusive IPs and updates the local firewall set without downtime.

Getting started

  1. Launch the Droplet from the DigitalOcean Marketplace or build using our open-source Packer template.
  2. SSH into your Droplet:
    ssh root@your_droplet_ip
  3. Configure your isIPsafe API key:
    isipsafe-config set-key YOUR_API_KEY
  4. Check firewall sync status:
    systemctl status isipsafe-sync.timer
sudo ipset list isipsafe | head
